Holi One Festival
On Saturday thousands gathered to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to enduldge in some colourful paint throwing extravaganzas!
“Inspired by the original Holi in India but not related, the HOLI ONE Colour Festival travels around the world. Thousands of people, preferably dressed in white, will come together to share music, dance, performance art and visual stimulation. Colours are the most joyous part of the Holi celebrations. They add life and vitality to the festival, making it most vibrant of all.“
Kicking off at 12, The festival hosted a line-up of some of the freshest and most impressive new DJ’s exploding onto the music scene. Electronic DJs,
including the likes of Zane Lowe, Masters and Eskei83 kept the crowd entertained until 3pm when the countdown to the first paint drop commenced! On one everyone threw up their colourful powder at the same moment and it quite literally filled the open-air sky with bright, brilliant colours accompanied by the shrieks and screams from the crowd as it all fell onto our white clothes, hair, nails, faces, bags.. you name it- it was covered!
